The Peru Trip

A classic Inca doorway. The trapezoidal shape is the classic Inca shape for any opening. One explanation, given us, is that it's person-shaped. I'm not convinced this was fully thought through. Surely a classic person would be tapered the other way up? More convincing, perhaps, is that the inca trapesoid is quite pleasing to look at and requires a shorter lintel across the top.
